Summary of the contracting process

Public Services Delivery Scotland is buying a framework of women’s health medical products for NHS Scotland bodies, joint integration boards and Scottish hospices. The products include speculums, pessaries in several forms, cervical medical devices, a cervical ripening balloon and a rotating cervical biopsy punch. Supply will be predominantly through the National Distribution Site, with deliveries serving NHS Scotland locations. This is a goods requirement for suppliers and manufacturers of gynaecological and cervical examination and treatment devices. The framework is divided into 12 product lots, covering the distinct device types and pessary designs, so businesses may focus their offer on the product lines they can supply. The purchasing arrangement is intended for use across Scotland’s health services and hospices.
