Notice Description
The Scottish Government invites SVARs Paygate (Paygate Solutions Limited) to submit a formal quotation for the provision of a dedicated single tenancy Paygate Enterprise service alongside a bespoke enhanced customer support package. This requirement forms part of the upcoming contract renewal and aligns with our strategic objective to enhance security, scalability, resilience, and technical capability for critical national payment infrastructure.

The Scottish Government currently operates Paygate Enterprise (Version 2, recently upgraded to Version 3 pending go-live) within a secure shared cloud environment, supporting: Payroll processing Accounts Payable Pension payments Ad hoc payment services The Banking and Treasury Team operates a centralised payments bureau model, delivering Bacs services across multiple public sector bodies. Key features of the current service include: Support for multiple file formats (CSV, DAT, Standard 18) Custom data mappings for upstream system integration Workflow automation for validation, approvals, and reporting Secure file transfer via SFTP (Scottish Government-managed) HSM certificate-based signing provided via NatWest sponsorship Disaster recovery services supporting Social Security operations have also been incorporated into the platform.
