Development of a GIS spatial inventory of sand dune communities using the Sand Dune Vegetation Survey of England survey
Description: To digitise (geo-reference) the Sand Dune Vegetation Survey of England survey maps (Radley, 1994). These are currently only available as paper maps which have been scanned by Natural England staff but need to be digitised to make them more widely available and to provide long-term security of this important dataset. The aim of the project is to create a GIS spatial inventory of sand dune communities using the 1980-1990 survey data capturing the appropriate attributes to enable future interrogation.
