The field includes a fenced play area for children, containing various items of play equipment. However, many of the items are constructed of wood and now require additional maintenance because of their deteriorating condition. Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Salvage and Marine Operations (SALMO) Delivery Team (DT) have a requirement for design, development and testing, manufacture, training, and support of a Multi-Role Rebreather (MRR) diver breathing apparatus to support a range of tasks including long endurance diving operations. The introduction of new underwater mobility assets has highlighted limitations of current in-service underwater breathing apparatus that were not procured to support current or emerging capability, and other associated dive tasks. The Authority requires a UK Prime supplier to deliver this requirement. The following is provided for information. High-level system parameters: • Sub-surface endurance of 3 to 12 hours. • Transit depth approx. 6m up to 10m, short excursions to a maximum depth of 30m. • Modular design enabling flexibility for operations including: - Endurance variable from 3 to 12 hours depending upon mission requirements - Use of propulsion equipment up to 3 knots - Extended periods of swimming • Able to be rapidly re-roled for multiple diving tasks during an operation. • Able to be easily stowed and made ready for use. • Streamlined, compact design. • Efficient resource use to minimise size and weight. Technical considerations: • Closed circuit, electronic diver breathing system with built in safety and resource monitoring systems. • Upgradable sensor and monitoring systems throughout the life of the capability. We are inviting quotations up to a maximum of £250,000 for the supply and installation of new equipment on the village green play area in Fernwood village, Newark-on-Trent. The project's aim is to replace outdated current playground and sports equipment and to increase physical activity in children and families whilst reflecting the natural environment of the village and nearby woodland. We are looking for a contractor to replace the current equipment within an enclosed space maintaining the current footprint plus replace the sports facilities nearby. Equipment within the enclosed space should be suitable for an age range of 1 to 12 years old and sports equipment should be suitable for ages 12 to 16 years old. Whilst the internal footprint of the enclosed space cannot change, there is some flexibility to extend the sports area to include additional equipment and activities. If necessary, groundworks can be completed in the area. We want the play features to be eye catching, unique, visually attractive and to reflect the natural environment of Fernwood Village. Your offer should provide good imaginative, inclusive and active play value to help us create a play area for children aged 1 to 12 years. Tenders are being sought to improve the recreation space at Prospect Street, Horncastle to make it into an attractive, welcoming and safe community space for families. Consultation has taken place with the community and the survey results are shown in the attached specification document. The final design must incorporate some of the facilities identified at Question 2 of the survey. Our core objectives for this project are: • create an intergenerational space • family focussed • create a safe and inclusive space Tenderers are asked to provide: a) details of previous projects of a comparable nature showing the breadth of your portfolio b) Details of professional warrantees and any guarantees offered c) Potential start date for work d) Estimated duration of proposed work A site visit is essential although will not be accompanied as the site is always open and accessible.
