The Council is seeking to appoint a supplier to design, procure and construct a circa 4MWp solar farm with associated grid connection ("the Project") to the Electricity North-West Distribution Grid at the Burrow Beck site South of Lancaster with grid reference: SD 47901 58388 The scope of this work is for the provision of the Contestable Grid Connection Works, the high voltage customer works and the provision of the low voltage switchgear together with enclosures and associated civil works. The appointed supplier will be expected to design, procure and deliver the works at the Burrow Beck site off Scotforth Road/Bailrigg Lane, Lancaster, LA1 4XP The works are set out in the specification which can be found at Annex A. The Project: achieved planning permission on 30 September 2024 under planning reference: 23/01383/FUL (https://www.lancaster.gov.uk/planning/view-applications-and-decisions) Is in receipt of 4 connection offers which have been accepted and paid in full to Electricity North-West each for 990kW. It develops and operates low-carbon infrastructure supporting the net zero transition, including onshore and offshore wind, hydro power, electricity transmission and distribution grids, efficient gas and energy from waste. SSE Distribution provides energy products and services for businesses & domestic customers in the UK and requires a suitable supplier or suppliers to provide revenue protection services to support both SSE Distribution and its customers. Notification of Procurement Opportunity: Electric Vehicle Charge Point Operator Concession Contract East Herts Council announces an upcoming procurement opportunity for a concession contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charge points within its car parks. This 15-year contract aims to deliver a minimum of 60 EV charge points within the first three years, supporting the Council's commitment to sustainable transport infrastructure.
