There is a requirement on SizewellC (SZC) to construct the Accommodation Buildings as part of the main welfare Campus. The project aim is to provide an accommodation campus of single living quarters for 2,400 workers. The campus will be comprised of 16 three- and four-storey residential buildings containing the single living units, placed in a broadly east-to-west orientation. Designed to provide single living units for the operatives, each unit will be comprised of an ensuite bathroom, wardrobe space, bed, kitchenette, desk and television. Each floor will typically house circa 40 units serviced by a central corridor. A services cupboard, shared between two living units, will provide hot water and power and act as a vertical services riser for data and waste distribution and removal. The site operations team will access the services cupboards from the central corridor. At the end of each floor will be facilities for the management and care of the units. Scope of Work The intended project involves the development of a solar-powered water pumping system (SWPS) to support rice irrigation in two rural villages in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. The system is expected to improve agricultural productivity and support low-carbon development goals. The scope of work under the upcoming tender will broadly include: a) Design, supply, and installation of a solar powered water pump system with an estimated capacity of up to 63-98 kWp per village. b) Procurement and installation of solar-compatible water pumps sized based on site-specific irrigation requirements. c) Construction of basic water infrastructure, including HDPE piping networks, water reservoirs, and jetty (75-100m) or intake structures as needed. d) Delivery and placement of all supporting electrical and civil components, including mounting structures, cabling, and basic foundation works. e) Commissioning, testing, and handover of a fully operational system. f) Provision of training and documentation for local operation and maintenance teams. Certain trees and vegetation will be retained and incorporated into a community area that will form about half of the site - but we need to be guided on what is worth keeping and what isnt. The other half will be turned into new accessible allotment plots. The Isle of Anglesey County Council is currently reviewing its options with regard to end market provision of PAS100 compliant Soil Improver produced from kerbside collected green garden waste processed on Anglesey.Currently around 5000 tonnes of 20mm screened Soil Improver is produced which meets PAS100 standard and is then spread to agricultural land by an external contractor.The Council has been refining its processing procedures over several months and is now also in a position to produce a higher quality Soil Improver which as been screened to 10mm.Following the production of the higher quality 10mm screened Soil Improver, the Council would now like to explore new commercial markets with potential contractors to maximise its potential.The higher quality Soil Improver is likely to be of interest to commercial organisations who can further market the material and find other outlets for its use e.g. bagging for domestic/commercial landscaping use.Interested commercial organisations should contact Katie Scowcroft by email katiescowcroft@ynysmon.llyw.cymru to express an interest and receive further information. Kier Transportation are looking to engage experienced and qualified contractors to carry out works pertaining to the Tree and Vegetation clearance works on the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine scheme. The A66 upgrade will see single-lane sections of the 80km stretch between the M6 and the A1 made into dual carriageway, while key junctions will be improved.
