The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking an experience provider to deliver this contract The service will be the strategic lead for volunteering in the borough and should work to promote a culture of 'giving' across all of Hounslow's communities and raise the profile of informal and formal volunteering and social action. Volunteers are a vital part of local service provision within the VCSE sector, and this service is expected to provide an appropriate way for organisations to recruit volunteers with suitable skills and to improve the diversity of volunteers within organisations, supporting them to better reflect the borough and the communities they support. The London Borough of Hounslow (hereinafter referred to as the Council) are seeking the services of an experienced firm of Landscape Architects, or Contractor to design and build a SuDS scheme and formalise car-parking at the northern entrance to Redlees Park. The appointed team will have demonstrable experience of co-design and delivering urban parks and green spaces through the project cycle from concept design to completion of construction. The appointed team must be able to deliver high quality, low maintenance, sustainable, climate resilient, and aesthetically pleasing designs that will withstand the test of time. The aims of the project are, firstly, to create a welcoming and functional entrance to the park, with natural elements that contribute to the local ecosystem and biodiversity, whilst providing functional water management through SuDS. The Council is seeking to develop strategic partnerships with Provider that are: • Sector leaders in young peoples and young parent's supported accommodation provision with a thorough understanding of the complex needs of vulnerable young people, access to significant expertise, and knowledge of evidence informed best practice. • Capable of carrying out the Landlord responsibilities alongside the support delivery requirements simultaneously, and meeting their own leaseholder obligations, ensuring buildings are maintained to a high standard, are homely and that repairs are carried out promptly. • Reputable, responsive, and responsible employers committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining a high quality and diverse workforce. • Values led with a mission, purpose, and ethos aligned to those of the London Borough of Housing. • Where specified in supplementary specifications, are Ofsted registered to meet the needs of 16-17-year-olds in the service and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Able to add value to provision to enrich the service offer for children and young people, including through attracting additional external funding. • Are financially sustainable with robust governance and business continuity arrangements. • Committed to developing positive partnerships at local, regional, and national level to benefit children and young people, including with housing associations to support move on to independence. Healthwatch Hounslow will be the local consumer champion for health and social care representing the collective voice of people who use services and public. It will build up a local picture of community needs, aspirations and the experience of people who use the services. The delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points contributes to the Councils' corporate objectives of reaching net zero by 2035. The ambition for London Borough of Hounslow is to become a cleaner, greener borough and to encourage and enable our residents, businesses, communities, and visitors to make more sustainable travel choices. In light of this the council has ambitions to deliver over two thousand new EV charging points by March 2026. This will result in a significant increase of EV charge points from our current network of 408.
