This procurement follows the Open Procedure under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The Authority's requirement for respite care can be described as a service which provides a break for an informal carer from their caring role supporting another adult with care and support needs. The service is legally defined as a service. The aim of respite care is to enable personalised, quality, informal care arrangements to be sustained and to maintain a person's independence in their own home for as long as possible. The common factor is not what service is provided, but its purpose: to provide a break which is a positive experience for the person with care needs and the carer This opportunity is divided into two lots.
