NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB (the Commissioner) is seeking to secure a provider who has the capability and capacity to deliver Palliative and End of Life Care in Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire, in line with the specified requirements. The aim of the service is to provide high quality and equitable services for Palliative and End of Life Care 24/7. This would be through a range of service delivery from multiple providers throughout BOB both NHS and Non-NHS. The range of services to deliver the above is through an array of delivery mechanisms to include inpatient and outpatient services, day hospices, hospice at home, community services, lymphoedema, pre and post bereavement services. To successfully provide the above, communication between primary, secondary, and community services including the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector. The Contract will be for an initial term of 7 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. Services are currently scheduled to commence on 01 January 2026. The Commissioner has a maximum financial envelope available of £3,500,000 per annum, including VAT. NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB (the Commissioner) is seeking to secure a provider who has the capability and capacity to deliver Urgent Care services in Reading, in line with the specified requirements. The aim of the service is to improve same day access in Berkshire West through the provision of a primary care-led service located at Royal Berkshire Hospital. The service will provide a seamless transition between in and out of hours services and treat patients directed to the service from multiple sources including NHS 111 services, referral from primary care, self-presenters and from the Emergency Department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. The level of clinical service provided will be comparable to the service received by patients attending general practice primary care settings. The Contract will be for an initial term of 21 months with an option to extend for a further 3 months at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. Services are currently scheduled to commence on 01 July 2025. The Commissioner has an indicative total funding envelope available of £1,800,000 per annum, excluding VAT.
