Cambridge City Council (CCC), Cultural services are responsible for numerous cultural events throughout the year for the residents of Cambridge, including Cambridge Big Weekend. CCC prides itself on its high production standards, which it is keen to maintain. The Festival takes place at Parker's Piece, Cambridge, within the city centre. Over the years, the best layout of facilities and structures has been found to suit the layout of the park and services such as drainage. This specification is therefore quite specific about the sizes of structures that are required for the event. This is to achieve a balance between the needs of optimising cover for the audience, allowing space for access and egress and allowing space for other necessary facilities.
