Notice Title

SDC Technical Partner for software development for the Business Rates Service

Notice Description

Sedgemoor District Council is looking for a technical partner to work with us, to co-produce a computer application, to support our Business Rates service. We then intend to produce further applications for the two linked services of Council Tax and Housing Benefits, to complete our Revenues and Benefits suite. We may procure applications development support for these phases separately. The council is one of only two in the country who operate an in-house developed system for Revenues and Benefits; we designed and built our current system in the mid 1990s. This activity will build on that successful design and produce a modern, componentised set of solutions that interact with our enterprise platform via APIs. You will be working with our applications development team for around 20 weeks using agile techniques to develop the working product. The Intellectual Property in the artefacts that are produced will remain with the council; we may choose to make that available to the local public sector via an appropriate open source licence.
