Notice Description

The main objectives of this Request for Quotation process are: * Appointment of a registered insurance broker/advisor to work with the UEA in procuring the competitive insurance covers and premiums for the UEA, net of broking commission. Schedule A contains details of the portfolio of insurances currently maintained by the University; * Advice and assistance as required on all aspects of the University's insurance needs included within the Schedule A portfolio, reflecting best practice and providing a quality advice service in respect of new or emerging risks in Higher Education and implications of recent significant legal cases; * A single point of contact for provision of ongoing professional advice for adjustments in insurance covers as the University's business develops during the year; * Advice on, and negotiation of, renewal terms and premiums for the policies detailed in Schedule A (and other policies as may be required from time to time) with a strong emphasis on achievement of best value for money, commencing with renewals for 1st August 2023 although the portfolio of insurance will need to be transferred in advance of this time; * Advice on the policy wordings, levels of cover and limits of indemnities, etc. to be maintained under these policies; * Provision of policy documentation, insurance register, insurance certificates, statutory forms, etc. as applicable; * General risk management advice and guidance, beyond insurance, for the full extent of the University's activities and potential activities; * Proactive advice and assistance on the processing of claims, liaising with insurers and loss adjusters as appropriate; * Proactive advice on market developments, legal issues and changes to statutes, opportunities for improved value for money and any subject relevant to the University's business.
