Notice Title
Pre Market Engagement for an Integration Hub Solution
Notice Description
Leicester city council has an evolving IT environment that includes over 200 line of business systems that often need to work together to automate processes and provide the service our citizens and users expect. We work with other organisations where we need to exchange information and data securely and automatically. Increasingly we are also combining data from sensors and smart devices with business data in order to increase business intelligence and use data to improve services and make better decisions. Some of these systems have modern message and REST APIs available, but most do not. The council would like to make better use of these systems to help staff collaborate and to improve customer services to make the council more efficient and user-friendly. To this end, we have a requirement for an Integration Hub platform to solve various business problems described in this document. It will be a fundamental building block of our new architecture along with appropriate standards and considerations for future implementations. We have formed several specific questions, set out in section 6 of this document, and are seeking your views on how we can achieve best value in respect of these. We would also welcome any other good practice points that you would recommend we consider, or any operational systems that you would recommend we view.
