Operational Software Procurement for Croydon Council Community Equipment Services
Notice Description
The Community Equipment Service (CES) is a statutory service. Under the Care Act 2014, local authorities in England have a statutory duty to plan for the provision of certain homebased services, including disability aids and community equipment, to meet the assessed eligible needs of those individuals who are ordinarily resident in their area. This service is a core part of the council's health and social care offer. CES is an operational service, enabling our most vulnerable residents to maintain their independence at home. The Service is a key provider in supporting local authorities and health Partners in the delivery of key social care and health transformation programs. CES provides a vital service to residents from Croydon enabling them to maintain their independence at home. Through commercial partnerships (formed with 10 other local authorities and health service providers) the service facilitates over 100,000 deliveries a year of essential pieces of health and social care related equipment. The service is looking to procure operational software which will interface with all areas of the service and is integral to the good and efficient running of the service. This system is business critical and all aspects of the service would be affected without the system being fully operational. Examples of the system's use will be: * Equipment ordering portal for prescribers (Occupational Therapists, District Nurses and Tissue Viability Nurses) * Client record management * P2P system for purchasing community equipment * Asset management system * Logistics planning * Preventative Maintenance planning * Financial reporting and billing to our commercial partners
