HDC 469 Leisure Services

Notice Description

The Authority is seeking a management partner for two leisure centres, Market Harborough Leisure Centre and Lutterworth Leisure Centre, and to work with the Authority to facilitate sport and physical activity outside of the leisure centres. Market Harborough Leisure Centre includes a 6-lane 25m swimming pool, teaching pool, a 4-court sports hall, and 70 station fitness suite. Lutterworth Leisure Centre includes a 6-lane 25m swimming pool, 4-court sports hall and 72-station gym. The Authority has ambitious plans for investment into its facilities during the term of the new Contract and has agreed as part of the procurement PS9.75 million investment fund, financed through prudential borrowing available for investment in both Harborough Leisure Centre and Lutterworth Leisure Centre. The contract commences in April 2024 and is for 15 years with the option to extend for two periods of up to five years. The procurement will be a two-stage tender process with negotiation.
