Summary of the contracting process

OFCOM has completed a procurement process for market research services titled "Post User Needs Research 2024." The awarded contract, valued at £154,400, was secured through a "Mini Competition" procurement method. The focus of the research is to gather data on potential changes to the postal Universal Service Obligation (USO) and their impact on users' needs and preferences. This process covers the delivery of letters and cards, explicitly excluding parcels. The tendering stage concluded on 5 July 2024, with the contract running from 7 August 2024 until 31 December 2024. The award was formalised on 24 July 2024, and the buyer for this contract is OFCOM, based in London, United Kingdom.

The tender creates an excellent opportunity for businesses involved in market research to grow by participating in government contracts. With a focus on gathering and analysing user data regarding postal services, businesses specialising in user research, data analysis, and postal services could find this tender highly relevant. OFCOM has indicated suitability for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs). This creates a conducive environment for diverse business entities to engage and potentially secure government projects, thereby fostering business expansion and expertise in the public sector marketplace.

Post User Needs Research 2024

Notice Description
