Southend-on-Sea Borough Council would like your views about how best to support people who've become vulnerable as a result of alcohol and substance misuse. This is part of a drive to improve the Night Time Economy - ensuring the town is a safe place where people can enjoy a night out, and where they can get help if they find themselves in difficulty. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council currently commissions this service and it is delivered via the SOS Bus, which is based in Southend High Street on Friday and Saturday nights. However, as this contract expires 31 March 2017, we will be inviting tenders for a new contract.
