The Isle of Wight Council (The Council) is contracting for the development of a mixed use scheme on the site ofthe former Sandham Middle School, in Sandown. It is proposed that in partnership with a development partner,the scheme will comprise of extra care/independent living/assisted living housing with additional bungalows,community hub and nursery. It is anticipated that a minimum of 75 extra care flats and 12 bungalows will beprovided. The Council is seeking a development partner who can bring expertise in the development, fundingand operation of such a scheme. There are two options under this procurement: Option 1: A scheme comprising extra care housing, predominantly market, together with community hub and nursery. Option 2: A scheme comprising extra care housing, predominantly affordable housing, together with community hub and nursery.
