SCC SAP ECC6 Data Archiving Solution - Request for Information (RFI)
Notice Description
Please note: this is a Request for Information as part of our preliminary market consultations, prior to undertaking a formal procurement procedure. Surrey County Council (SCC) has mobilised the Digital Business and Insights (DBI) programme to deliver a transformation programme to upgrade or replace the existing SAP ECC6 ERP system at SCC, which is hosted in the Council's data centres. The programme was approved by SCC Cabinet on 29 October 2019 and a procurement process is now underway, which aims to award the contract to the successful bidder by the 10th August 2020 and complete go-live of the new system by December 2021. As part of the Digital Business & Insights programme SCC is considering options for the archiving of historic data held in the existing SAP system, which will be retained but not migrated to the new ERP system. An archiving solution will be required for a one-off migration of this data in advance of the decommissioning of the existing ERP system. The archived data will then be required to be fully accessible to the Council for reporting purposes and deleted over time in line with Council data retention policies. The purpose of this RFI is to seek information about suppliers' available solutions to meet this SAP ECC6 data archiving requirement, their indicative costs, implementation approaches and required timescales to inform the Council's planning. Additional information: Please note: this is a Request for Information as part of our preliminary market consultations, prior to undertaking a formal procurement procedure. Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No
