Job title: 1x Solicitor (Litigation) Hours: 37 hours Start date: asap End date: 3 months from start date Rate of Pay: Band H PS40,760- PS45,591 but agencies can advise what the candidates would be looking for on a ltd company basis Contract type: Agency Location: Oldbury Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DB Job Description and Personnel Specification attached, which also provides more information above the role One Solicitor is required to start as soon as possible and work for a period of 12 weeks. The role will be based at Oldbury Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. We require one Solicitor with extensive experience of general civil litigation within a Local Authority. We are looking for a candidate who has the following experience: Qualified Solicitor/Barrister/Fellow of CILEx of at least 5 years, extensive experience of general civil litigation within a Local Authority, advocacy experience in Courts and Tribunals, general knowledge of Local Government law, ideally some experience of education law, extensive experience of providing advice to internal and external clients and the ability to undertake a varied workload. Local authority experience is essential. Closing date: Friday 24th May 17:00pm Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and also a copy of their Terms and Conditions.
