    Notice to reader and disclaimer The UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology is seeking to procure an Asset Management System (AMS) to support the Floods and Droughts Research Infrastructure (FDRI) programme. This platform will enhance the management and maintenance of scientific assets, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the quality and reliability of data collected from field and laboratory equipment. Initially this AMS will be required to support the FDRI project, however, eventually the AMS will be adopted as a company-wide solution, therefore we are looking for a product that can be scalable. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been issued to notify the market of the intention to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the next 1-12 months. This document is not a call for competition. Any comments, indications of interest, participation, or non-participation by any organisation at this stage will not influence the process, selection and/or award decision for any future possible procurement. Project background The UKCEH is running the FDRI as an innovative long-term programme which, for the first time in the UK, will monitor the whole hydrological system, to improve resilience to floods and droughts. The project will establish a nationwide Floods and Droughts Research Infrastructure, offering near real-time data to the hydrological community. Further information can be found at: https://fdri.org.uk/ Asset Management System key features The following features are provided to give an indication to the market for the likely requirements for the AMS. Requirements are subject to change in the ITT. Asset and Inventory Management: Comprehensive tracking of asset status, calibrations, condition, and expected lifetime. Accessible Asset Information: Improved access to up-to-date asset and asset management information by wider systems within the organisation for improved for integration. Maintenance Tracking: Management of service and calibration records, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance (RM). Operational Efficiency: Streamlined issue tracking, cost management, and enhanced asset availability information. Quality Assurance: Improved traceability of observational data and asset audit systems. Security: Robust security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality. Assets include field instrumentation used to capture data and laboratory equipment. Specific restrictions (not limited): Provider must be accredited with ISO 27001 Information Security Management.
