**UPDATE 30/03/2023 - Following the EMES at RAF Coningsby, see attached Information Pack & accompanying reference material which we hope will assist you in producing your RFI response. Please note, due to the late publication of this Information Pack, we have decided to extend the RFI response deadline to 11/04/2023** Surface Finish Capability for Aircraft, Airfield Support Equipment and Station Related Tasks Object of the Request for Information and Purpose: The Contracting Authority is looking to understand methodologies that would update and improve current delivery of the Surface Finish (SF) capability for Aircraft, Airfield Support Equipment and Station related tasks. The Contracting Authority is keen to understand the markets view of this capability and their interest in this defence support activity to inform future innovation and procurement activities. Short Description of the Requirement: The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) has an obligation to deliver safe and airworthy Air Systems for training and operations, both in the UK and overseas. This Capability must ensure that serviceable aircraft and Airfield Support Equipment (ASE) are available to support operational, training and display output for the UK MOD. It has an additional requirement to deliver Station support tasks. An efficient, effective, and reliable Surface Finish capability supports reduced maintenance turn-round times, reduced equipment / component failure and improves mission survivability through the application of adequate corrosion protection, camouflage, and conspicuous markings. Supporting the outlined early market engagement, the Authority invites industry to outline its ability and interest in meeting the requirement and proposed Procurement Strategy.
