Notice Description

At a later date in the 2017/18 period The City of London Corporation plans to procure a new strategic solution for minor works associated with cyclical replacement, refurbishment and minor improvements. This notice is being published to give advance notice to the market of a forthcoming call for competition, and to provide an opportunity for businesses wishing to do so to participate in a market testing exercise. For further historical information about the work normally falling within the scope of existing arrangements, and an opportunity to complete and submit a market testing questionnaire please visit the following link: www.capitalesourcing.com Participants should register as a supplier on the portal then search for the opportunity titled "Soft Market Testing Exercise - Minor Works". Questionnaires may be submitted at any time but submissions before a deadline of 15 May 2017 would be most helpful. Additional information: The City occupies and operates accommodation that exceeds over 800 properties covering the following geographical locations: * Square Mile * West End * East London * North London * Epping Forest * Buckinghamshire * Surrey, Heathrow * Thames Estuary That accommodation, some of which is listed, and includes corporate office, school, housing, police, income generating investment property, market and commercial, theatre and concert hall provisions, and other individual property assets associated with City open spaces and built environment at locations across the wider London region. Annual spend on minor works in this context can be variable. Historically total spend has been seen in a range of PS8-9m per annum. Future annual spend may vary further. Over 400 individual works orders can be issued each year with peaks in the number of orders issued usually seen in February, June to July, and September to October. Historically individual works order values are most commonly below PS50,000, but can in some cases be higher.
