Notice Description

Sheffield City Council is a large City Council serving a population of approximately 600,000 people. It is a single tier authority and provides a wide range of services to its residents - including housing and education. The Council has, for approximately 20 years, outsourced IT provision to an external provider. For the past 10 years, this has been Capita. From January 2020 the Council has insourced this service. A SIAM model is being used to allow it to take a multi-vendor approach to deliver its IT provision along with a core in-house service. Internal Audit has its own IT specialist for the general IT audits, but we require additional specialist input for the more occasional complex technical areas.
