Software and Licence Procurement
Notice Description
DVSA awarded a contract for the purchase of all software and licences, with the exception of Microsoft products, for existing and new requirements. Although, there might be exceptions to this rule. The purchases include end user software; enterprise software; developer software; specialist software and assistive technology software. Scope of Requirement: - The supplier must take advantage of any Government Framework offers and pass the benefits onto DVSA. - The supplier must be able to demonstrate they have provided best value for money and can meet any seasonal demands. - The supplier must provide the authority with advice on how they will communicate changes and any implications of those changes to licence terms and conditions to the Authority. - The supplier must manage and mitigate risks and ensure the Authority is compliant and does not have a surplus of licences or licences that are out of date and have been replaced by a more up to date option/product. - There is no requirement for the supplier to manage the licences/software. - The supplier must provide copies of licence/software documentation e.g.EULAs,PURs, Licence Keys, Copy of Contract. - There is no guarantee that current licences will be required/renewed moving forwards. - The provision of quotes and provisioning of software must meet the SLA targets set out in the requirements. - Some members of staff working on DVSA requirements will have to obtain BPSS level security checks within 3 months from the contract commencement date.
