Southend Borough Council (SBC) sought a solution in 2012 for communication with schools. The Southend Learning Network is now providing an excellent platform for communication with, trading with, booking training for, schools, early years providers, childminders, foster carers, adult care providers and children's centres. It also fulfils the functions for Southend Governance Service (providing all statutory and best practice Governance functions for running this service for school governors) and the Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Service (providing all statutory and best practice NQT functions for running this service for NQTs).
