Cisco Smartnet Requirement

Notice Description

DVSA requires a support contract for our current Cisco hardware and software, which is currently installed on each Cisco Network device. DVSA use Cisco networking technology within a number of DVSA sites to provide network connectivity for system access and printing. DVSA are looking to purchase Cisco Smartnet which is direct support from Cisco. In previous years DVSA have purchased support from a Cisco partner where support was provided by a third party who would liaise with Cisco on our behalf. The Cisco Smartnet offering will give our network engineers the opportunity to log calls directly with Cisco and receive 1st , 2nd and 3rd line support directly rather than have the option of partner shared support. The Smartnet offering will give guaranteed cisco replacement parts. There will be direct access to any security patches or bug fixes through Cisco. They will also support DVSA in applying these patches if we encounter any problems. This was advertised on framework RM6068 Technology Products and Associated Services - Lot 1.
