Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH), which is seeking to establish a Provision of Works Framework in the Cheshire West and Chester area. The planned procurement aims to appoint approximately 10 to 12 contractors to deliver essential construction services, particularly for vulnerable residents, through Disabled Facilities Grants and Decent Home Loans. The procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with the deadline for Technical Questionnaire submissions set for 12:00 on 20th May 2015. The overall contract period is anticipated to commence on 1st September 2015 and conclude by 31st August 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on construction and home improvement services, especially those with experience in providing renovations and adaptations for disabled and elderly clients. Companies that specialise in large-scale construction projects, specifically those exceeding £30,000, would be particularly well-suited to compete for this framework. Collaboration across multiple trades within the construction industry can enhance competitiveness, especially as the selected contractors will be expected to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services that meet the needs of a vulnerable demographic.
