Summary of the contracting process

The Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking tenders for an Adult Education IT System, targeting the education services industry. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with a deadline for submission set for 2pm on Wednesday, 25th October 2017. The location for project implementation is within the North East region of the United Kingdom. The open procedure procurement method aims to identify capable and experienced organisations that can deliver a management information system compliant with statutory regulations and operational standards set by relevant educational authorities.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the IT services sector, particularly those specialising in software development and management information systems. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) with a proven track record of operational solutions in similar educational contexts would be well-positioned to compete. Collaborations among local authorities or colleges of Further Education may strengthen bids, especially those that already meet the experience criteria outlined by the Council.
