Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, which is seeking a replacement for its trust-wide emergency speech bleep system, crucial for supporting emergency response teams across its main hospital campuses in London. The tender, titled "Radio communication replacement," is currently in the award stage, having been formally awarded on 31 August 2021. The financial value of the contract is £507,486, and it commenced on 23 August 2021 with a contract period extending until 22 August 2028. The purchasing approach is a selective method through a call-off from a framework agreement, specifically within the small-scale radio systems services industry category.

This opportunity is particularly suited for businesses involved in telecommunications and emergency response communication systems, especially those with experience in public sector contracting and the NHS. Companies that offer innovative technologies that ensure stable real-time communications and resilience may find compelling reasons to participate. Additionally, firms capable of providing robust support solutions and who can demonstrate a successful track record with NHS clients would be well-placed to compete for this critical contract.
