Notice Description

Hound Parish Council (the Council) are seeking tenders for the design, supply and install of a new inclusive play area at Station Road Recreation Ground, Netley Abbey, Southampton, SO31 5FR (it can be found as Netley Recreation Ground on Google). This is located just of Station Road and is a popular location for all ages and currently contains a play area, MUGA, gym equipment, kickwall and basketball hoop and is popular with dog walkers. The current equipment is circa 15 years old with most having reached the end of its life, however there is the possibility of moving one or both sets of swings to one of our other play areas. The Council is looking for a substantial play area, commensurate with the available budget of PS120,000. The play equipment and layout must be interesting, innovative and inclusive. There is also a requirement for the play equipment to be fully accessible and fully inclusive to allow all children to play together regardless of ability. The Project Tender Specification lays out how to apply and once we have shortlisted to the final 5 tenders, this will go to a public vote.
