Notice Title

Early Engagement Supplier Event - Digital and Publishing Services at The National Archives

Notice Description

In the coming months, The National Archives will procure the maintenance and development of its legislation platform (legislation.gov.uk website, editorial and publishing systems), the operation of its legislation publishing services (online and in print), the operation and development of web archiving services (nationalarchives.gov.uk/webarchive) and the maintenance, development and operation of Lawmaker (a service enabling browser-based drafting and management of legislation including parliamentary amendments). More detailed descriptions of each are attached to this notice. We would like interested suppliers to join us to discuss these services at an early engagement procurement event at The National Archives in Kew on 29th June 2022, in which we will also be taking a look at future procurement opportunities in our digital services pipeline. We will explore options to partner with suppliers in a number of areas, including the development of our catalogue management and digital preservation systems, as well as our new Find Case Law service. We are interested in developing the information architecture of our digital services, and would like to talk to suppliers and specialists in user research, front end development, interaction and content design, the design and build of digital services, search, support for Cloud applications and hosting, and DevOps. We're holding this event to help us to shape our procurement strategy and we'd like supplier feedback on how we do this. So we would encourage a wide range of suppliers, with expertise and capability in any, or all, of the areas described in this notice, to join us for an afternoon of discussion and networking, and to meet potential procurement partners. To register, please email procurement@nationalarchives.gov.uk by midday on 15th June 2022, letting us know the names of your proposed attendees, which of the opportunities you are interested in, and the areas of expertise which you can offer.
