Summary of the contracting process

Birmingham City Council is overseeing the tender process titled "PQ0168R Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus Demand Led Solutions: Support to Hearing Impaired NEETs," which has recently reached the award stage. This procurement, categorised under personnel-training services, involves providing tailored support for young people aged 15-29 who are not engaged in education, employment, or training. The contract is set to commence on October 1, 2017, and conclude on June 30, 2018. Interested suppliers should note that the quotation opportunity is re-advertised due to previous lack of market interest, with the tender period having ended on August 29, 2017. This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in personnel training and support services. Companies that offer staff recruitment and training for young people, particularly those equipped to assist hearing-impaired individuals, would be well-suited to compete. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) could particularly benefit from this contract, as it aims to enhance the employability of NEETs, thus providing a chance for suppliers to contribute to social sustainability while expanding their service offerings. Interested parties are encouraged to register via Birmingham’s e-tendering portal to express their interest and access further details.
