Summary of the contracting process

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority is initiating the "Energy Efficiency Retrofit project Market Engagement," which falls under the construction industry category. This project is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 23rd March 2021. The authority aims to facilitate a significant infrastructure programme focused on retrofitting energy efficiency in homes across the Greater South East region. This undertaking is pivotal, considering the goal to decarbonise 25 million homes by 2050, with an ambitious initial budget of £69 million for the current year and projected future investments reaching up to ten times that amount over the next five years.

This tender presents a lucrative opportunity for contractors, builders, consultants, and SMEs specialising in energy efficiency and construction. Companies well-versed in retrofit work and those seeking to gain accreditation to PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 standards will find this event particularly beneficial for business growth. Engaging in this market could lead to substantial contracts as local authorities and developers work tirelessly to meet carbon neutrality targets. The event will facilitate direct communication with project leaders and provide insights into securing grants and forging lasting business relationships in a market potentially worth billions.

Notice Title

Energy Efficiency Retrofit project Market Engagement

Notice Description

The housing retrofit programme is the biggest infrastructure programme that the UK has ever seen. Local authorities and developers have to find a way to decarbonise 25 million homes by 2050- a staggering 833,000 per year- at a total cost of between PS400bn and PS1000bn. The Greater South East Energy Hub and Built Environment Networking are coming together to help procure a spate of capital works in relation to retrofit over the coming year. Starting with PS69m worth of energy efficiency projects that need to be completed by the end of 2021 and looking towards ten times that amount in the coming five years. Our event will launch a series of frameworks and procurement processes for the above schemes and the team at Greater South East Energy Hub are keen to meet contractors, SME's, builders, advisors, consultants and assessors who can assist them with their carbon neutral goals. They want to meet regional and national organisations who can keenly contribute to meeting their targets. Aside from being able to communicate directly with the project leads and hear about the work on offer, delegates will be given the opportunity to attend several clinics to help their organisations gain accreditation to PAS 2030 and PAS2035 standards, understand the Trustmark process and apply for grants which can be used to help your business develop. This event is a unique forum for winning work and creating a lasting relationship for business development opportunities totalling billions of pounds; don't miss it! https://www.built-environment-networking.com/event/greater-south-east-energy-hub/
