Summary of the contracting process

The Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is in the planning stage of procuring support services for a Wireless Network System, with a focus on wireless telecommunications systems, data network support services, and maintenance and repair of data network equipment. Potential suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by completing a market engagement questionnaire by 13:00 on 12th October 2021. This initiative aims to gather insights from the market, allowing the Trust to refine its requirements before the formal tender process begins.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in wireless telecommunications and data network services, to engage with a major public sector organisation. Companies that provide maintenance and repair services for data network equipment or offer extensive data network support services are particularly well-suited to compete. Engaging in this market exercise could not only strengthen their service offerings but also fulfill a crucial need within the healthcare sector in the West Midlands.
