Summary of the contracting process

Transport for London (TfL) is currently inviting tenders for the "TfL Employability Programmes", aimed at enhancing the employability of disadvantaged groups affected by the pandemic. This open procurement process seeks to establish a framework of providers through two distinct lots: Lot 1 focuses on individuals with no or limited work experience, while Lot 2 is for those with significant work experience but who have been out of work for an extended period. Key dates include the tender submission deadline, which is set for 12:00 Noon on 12th January 2022, and contract commencement is expected on 19th January 2022, continuing until 18th January 2026. The procurement falls under the services category, particularly in the area of education and training services.

This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations specialising in employment services, training, and recruitment, especially those with experience working with disadvantaged communities or in partnership with charities and social enterprises. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are especially encouraged to participate, as the programme aims to create impactful and socially significant employment pathways. Businesses that are adept at providing tailored training solutions and deliver social value initiatives will be particularly well-positioned to compete for this contract.
