Notice Title
Medicines Management Prescribing Support System for GP Practices
Notice Description
The prescribing support solution supports safe and cost-effective prescribing at the point of prescription and is fully integrated within every GP Practices' clinical system. The prescribing support solution message functionality has built-in algorithms which are triggered at the point of prescription and appear when initiating medication for the first time; re-authorising individual medications; or when re-prescribing historic medication. The prescribing support solution messages can be grouped as: * Best Practice messages (providing national and local guidance); * Cost Savings messages (suggesting cost saving effective changes); * Cost Avoidance messages (suggesting not prescribing which may create a cost saving); * Information Only messages (often supply issues); and * Formulary messages (red and amber drugs).
