Contract Summary
Direct Award to Motorola Solutions Limited via CCS G-Cloud 13 Framework, Lot 2 Cloud Software. The agreement is for an initial 36 months with an option of a 12 month extension. Therefore, the agreement may be for a duration of 48 months. The City of London Police wish to use a Mobile policing solution Pronto, and enter into a contract that will cover the software, hosting, dynamic routing of services, development of future processes and all associated support services. The pronto system was brought in as CoLP Mobile solution in an effort to digitise paper processes and increase front line visibility and resilience. The delivery of CoLP Mobile solution has also enabled them to deliver elements of the NPCC 2025 Policing vision. Pronto is fully integrated to CoLP current Record managements system, NicheRMS, plus several other national systems: - Police National Computer (PNC) - DVLA images database - Home Office Biometrics database - International Law Enforcement Alerts Platform (I-LEAP) - Gazetteer address lookup - Voters register - Police Visual Handbook It is also the only method the force currently has available to record and report upon use of force statistics for the Home Office Annual Data Return. The system is well embedded within CoLP having been implemented in 2015 and it is now estimated to be capable of 50 different workflows and has completely digitised the majority of our frontline policing processes in conjunction with NicheRMS. It is the largest mobile policing solution in the market being used in 22 forces across the UK and is designed to work in conjunction with NicheRMS (although it can also work as a standalone product or with an alternative RMS). Our instance of NicheRMS is supplied through a s22 agreement with five other forces which has just been reviewed for another five years (although licences are procured separately) and five out of the six forces in our Niche collaboration also separately purchase Pronto to use with Niche. Nottingham have developed an in house bespoke solution instead. Pronto also provides us with proven interoperability with not just NicheRMS but also our existing and future infrastructure such as our laptops and mobile phones. One of the reasons for Motorola winning the BWV contract was it's interoperability with Pronto and to loose this would be a step backwards. We are also soon to launch PowerBI integration (this is with IT now). The current solution is hosted by Motorola at it's Airwave Data Centre in Rugby which reduces the burden on our IT to manage this infrastructure.
