Summary of the contracting process

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) has successfully progressed through the procurement process for their Ticket System Solution Project (ITP) in the services category. This competitive dialogue tender, initiated by NMRN Operations, commenced on 31st May 2024 and involved ten pre-selected bidders who were invited to participate further. Key phases included the submission of IOS proposals by 12th July 2024 and concluded with the awarding stage on 15th October 2024. The project is valued at £1,183,000 and is designated for the South East region of the United Kingdom. It includes the deployment of ticket-issuing machines with the contract scheduled to start on 1st April 2025 and run through to 1st April 2030.

This tender represents a significant growth opportunity, especially for SMEs, as NMRN has notably accommodated their participation. KZEMOS UK LTD, an SME, was awarded the contract, showcasing the feasibility for similar sized businesses to compete and succeed in such competitive dialogues. The project will require firms with expertise in the installation and management of ticket-issuing systems, offering a substantial contract length and monetary value, which allows for sustained business development and long-term planning.
