Provision of a Multichannel Potentiostat/Galvanostat
Notice Description
The University of Southampton has joined a major consortium to study battery degradation, one of the Fast Start Projects within the Faraday Institution. The project involves several universities (Cambridge, Glasgow, UCL, Imperial, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton and Warwick) and aims to achieve a comprehensive understanding of degradation processes in electric-vehicle batteries, and it will work in collaboration with the other three Faraday Fast Start projects to build the next generation of batteries for electric vehicle applications as part of the UK's industrial strategy. The work at Southampton will take place in Chemistry (Electrochemistry section), at the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences. A multichannel potentiostat/galvanostat will be acquired in order to perform a systematic electrochemical characterization of battery materials, as required for the project described above Additional information: This tender will be conducted electronically and tender documents can be downloaded from the web portal (In-Tend) provided earlier in this notice. https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofsouthampton. If you are not already registered as a supplier with the In-Tend Portal, you will need to register before accessing the tender documents. Due to the nature of this requirement it was not deemed suitable to be split into lots. In accordance with Regulation 50, paragraph (2) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and subject to Article 5 and Annex 5, Part D (13) of Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, the University intend to publish the contract value at contract award stage, and reserved the right to do so.
