Notice Title
Provision of Thermal Imaging Technology - Request for Information
Notice Description
The Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency invites information from the market to assist in informing the Agency's requirement setting for a potential procurement exercise for the provision of thermal imaging technology. This notice is issued by the DVLA with the intention to engage with the market in order to improve the Agency's understanding of the solutions available to meet its capability requirement, and is not a request for quotation. The DVLA may chose to conduct a competitive procurement exercise following completion of this market engagement exercise, but is not committed to doing so. DVLA would welcome information from the market pertaining to standalone thermal imaging technologies and associated camera solutions, capable of taking precise temperature readings of numerous persons entering site, and providing accurate alerts to operators when an elevated temperature is identified/recorded, and which do not integrate with existing CCTV security systems. The DVLA would be interested in receiving information from the market of solutions which can be supplemented by additional hand-held devices for the purpose of double checking temperatures by in-house operatives. Information should be provided via email to FMCommercialMailbox@dvla.gov.uk by 16:00 on Tuesday 17th November 2020.
