Notice Title
Provision of a Temperature Monitoring and Asset Tracking System
Notice Description
The Trust is exploring implementing a system for the monitoring of ambient temperatures, cold temperatures and asset tracking. Based on initial assessments the Trust understands some suppliers offer a combined asset tracking and temperature monitoring system. The trust is exploring the following areas: 1) Active ambient temperature monitoring; 2) Active cold storage temperature monitoring; 3) Active asset tracking; and 4) Passive asset tracking. The Trust is inviting potential suppliers to meet with the Trusts clinicians, engineers and procurement team to outline potential equipment and software packages for active temperature monitoring and passive and active tagging systems. The Trust is interested in monitoring the temperature at which medicines, bodies (mortuaries), patient samples, test kits/reagents and blood/blood products (therapeutic) are stored at around the Trust. The Trust understands several suppliers offerings for active temperature monitoring forms apart of passive and active tagging systems. The Trust may opt to do a single procurement exercise or may opt to do 2 or more procurement exercises based on the results of market engagement. The Trust may identify a suitable framework agreement which would be the preferred route to market at this time. The Trust therefore encourages any interested parties to contact the Trust at the earliest opportunity. The Trust has provisionally met with some suppliers and is currently trialing equipment on site to inform business case development.
