Notice Title

Request for Quotation - Thermal Cycle Chamber

Notice Description

The NPL requirement is a thermal cycle chamber for rapid increasing or decreasing temperature inside the chamber over a range of -70degC to 180degC with a minimum 10 degC/minute change rate. The purpose is to evaluate mechanical reliability of electronic circuits. The NPL requirement is to test thermo-mechanical reliability of electronic circuits by subjecting them to regular thermal excursions across an extended operational range. The tests we will run will be used by most electricals with high reliability and electrical system manufacturers for their type approval testing. Similar systems are used within the industry to provide fitness for purpose testing for new designs and material combinations. The innovative metrology developed by NPL for high temperature materials and manufacturing techniques, is required for electric and hybrid development, oil/gas, and aerospace partners. This is required for benchmarking against these widely accepted industry standards. Additional information: Please do not contact the person listed on this notice.
