Notice Title
RVVA RFI - Procurement, maintenance and training support of Remote Video Viewing Aids
Notice Description
The Ministry of Defence [MOD] has a requirement to maintain a Remote Video Viewing Aids [RVVA] / Industrial Borescope capability, for use by Non-Destructive Testing, Inspection and Repair Teams for military equipment maintenance and service operations. Therefore, there is an emerging requirement to procure new replacement RVVA / Industrial Borescope equipment, together with a maintenance and training support package, by the Air Commodities Delivery Team [ACDT] , which is part of Defence Equipment and Support [DE&S] of the MOD . ACDT are responsible for ensuring an enduring capability, for as long as the capability is required by front line commands. Therefore, they are responsible for the supply and maintenance of RVVA / Industrial Borescope equipment for the RAF [Royal Air Force], RN [Royal Navy] and Army. As part of this equipment portfolio, RVVA / Industrial Borescope equipment has been supplied and is maintained, in order to provide this specific capability to the required Teams. Additional information: This RFI is intended to be an exploration of the market to understand what existing or future RVVA / Industrial Borescopes might be suitable and available to the UK MOD. Therefore, the information gathered will inform a procurement strategy, with the potential to commence procurement in September 2025. In particular, this RFI will inform the UK MOD of existing and developing 'Commercial off the Shelf' [COTS] RVVA / Industrial Borescope equipment, that could be a possible replacement for one or more of the three RVVA/ Industrial Borescope equipment items currently in service.
