Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Merseyside Police - Procurement Department seeking a contractor for Reactive and Planned Maintenance Services for buildings, located in the North West of England. The tender is positioned under the industry's Repair and Maintenance Services of Building Installations and has a total contract value of £3,000,000, with a minimum threshold of £1,800,000. The tender, published on 3rd September 2021, is currently active and uses a selective procurement method, following a restricted procedure. The deadline for submissions is set for 7th October 2021, with the contract expected to commence on 4th April 2022 and last until 4th April 2027.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in maintenance and construction services, particularly for those equipped to handle reactive repairs and capital project work in a policing context. Companies that are small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this an excellent fit, allowing them to expand their operational footprint while working with a reputable organisation. Additionally, localisation within the North West region may provide added advantages to bidders who can ensure prompt service delivery, a critical factor given the nature of maintenance requirements that include out-of-hours responsiveness.
