Provider for Step into Health Campaign

Notice Description

Step into Health is a bespoke programme to support the employment of members of the Armed Forces community (service leavers, veterans and armed forces family members) within the NHS. The programme will support two audiences both potential employees of the NHS and employers in the NHS. Step into Health originated through a collaboration between Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Walking with the Wounded and the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2015. In 2015 Health Education England adopted the idea and transformed it into a sponsored pilot programme which was run in a further four trusts. Due to the successes of the initiative NHS Employers were asked to work in partnership with the Royal Foundation, Walking with the Wounded, Health Education England, NHS England and NHS Improvement along with trusts across England to embed the practices into business as usual recruiting activity.
