Notice Description

Darlington Borough Council require the appointment of a suitably qualified and experienced individual(s) or organisation to: Lead in the planning and development of a key central event for the bi-centenary which will provide a stunning major celebratory event in which ancillary events, projects and activities can branch out from. This will include 'booking' any infrastructure and assets that are required which have a long lead in time such as steam locomotives. Strategic working - to ensure the event underpins and positively contributes to other strategic initiatives such as the Tees Valley City of Culture bid for 2025 and ensure that the bi-centenary celebration is fed into key groups to demonstrate collaborative working to maximise the impact of the events to maximise economic and social benefits to the area. Capture and help shape complimentary activities, events and projects through extensive community engagement with partners, stakeholders and the public.
