SIM Main Contractor Services for Power Hall Exhibition - AWARD
Notice Description
The Power Hall is a Manchester institution - a 2,500m2 Grade II listed goods shed, housing one of the most significant industrial heritage collections in the world, including Europe's largest collection of 19th and early 20th century steam engines. The new gallery will be an iconic living gallery showcasing the historic working engines that made Manchester the economic powerhouse of the world. SIM, Manchester, seeks to appoint a Main Contractor to provide services including fabrication and installation of a permanent exhibition in the museum's Power Hall, The Law Family Gallery. The exhibition will comprise a number of different component elements, including exhibition setworks, display cases, interactives, lighting and graphics. The exhibition will fit seamlessly into the building's base build design which is due to commence construction in November 2023. Installation of the exhibition will take place following the completion of the base build.
