Summary of the contracting process

The Devon County Council is seeking to establish the Devon and Somerset Standing List of Approved Contractors (SLoAC) 2025, applicable for maintenance, improvement, and building works with a project value up to £2,000,000. This open procedure procurement, classified under CPV code 45000000 for construction work and 50000000 for repair and maintenance services, covers the South West region of the United Kingdom. The contract period is set from 14th April 2025 to 31st March 2029, with a break clause at the end of the second year and an optional extension up to March 2033 at the Council's discretion. Interested parties must reapply by the tender deadline on 28th February 2025 at noon. The initial phase includes a virtual Tender Launch Event on 6th February 2025.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for SMEs involved in construction, refurbishment, or specialised trades, as it includes diverse work categories such as refurbishment, repair, and new build extensions. Businesses holding relevant qualifications can apply for multiple geographical areas within Devon and Somerset, enhancing their market presence and workload. Participating companies will benefit from exclusive invitations to project bids, provided they meet the requisite accreditation standards. With an expected total value of £60,000,000, this tender is an attractive prospect for small to medium enterprises aiming for regional growth in public sector contracts.
