Summary of the contracting process

Cambridge City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the provision of at least six AQ Mesh Pods. This initiative aims to monitor air quality parameters including nitrogen dioxide, particulates, and carbon dioxide over a duration of at least nine months, supported by funding from Defra. The engagement period closed on 3rd May 2019, and companies interested in participating are encouraged to present their detailed proposals through the Procontract e-tendering portal. Located in Cambridge, East of England, the contract falls under the category of "Machines and apparatus for testing and measuring" as per the CPV classification.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in environmental monitoring technology and equipment. Companies that can provide air quality monitoring solutions, including setup and maintenance services, as well as data management capabilities, would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Given the specifications, firms experienced in emission measurement instruments and capable of quick response within 48 hours for any faults would have a competitive advantage, potentially leading to significant business growth in the public sector.
